PBX stands for private branch
exchange. A somewhat dated and more an American acronym. Here in
Australia we have tended to known them as PABX, Private Automatic Branch
Exchange. To me this conjurs up images of those old fashioned plug and
cord switchboards of a bygone era.
Private Automated Branch Exchange, this
telephone network is commonly used by call centers and other
organizations. PABX allows a single access number to offer multiple
lines to outside callers while providing a range of external lines to
internal callers or staff. The PBX is owned and operated by the
enterprise rather than the telephone company
At Norcom Communications we dont mind
calling them either. You can see from the links below we supply and
support a wide range of brands, and we can cater for all sized
businesses in most parts of Australia. Check out some small business
package pricing in our online store, or call us anytime from anywhere in
Australia, on 1800 68 78 70. We are ready to help you.
