Best Features Voip Phone System

Most voip systems have apps for iphone and android so that you can have a mobile extension on your phone wherever you go. There are also wifi portable phones and even wifi desk phones that will work on most systems.

Feature rich. Because phone systems and telephony have come together, features that you used to pay an arm and a leg for now come as standard features. Call queueing, automated attendant, voice mail to email and fax to email are pretty much standard features on the better voip systems these days. Open source systems like elastix or any of the asterisk based systems do this free of charge, no license fees.

Before you even consider the call rates there are other many other benefits. With voip systems the telephone and computer can easily exist on the same cable. This means especially for new sites, you can save money on the cost of cabling by only installing a single data outlet at each desk.

Some higher demand networks, that require maximum bandwidth, even on a gigabit network, might still prefer to have separate network, such as architects for example using auto-cad type applications, but they are the exception rather than the rule. A number of manufacturers are now starting to produce dual port gigabit phones to meet the demands of end users.

There are many more aspects and benefits to voip that go well beyond saving a few dollars. Sure saving money is great, but as most phone systems are less than 10 extensions, you are going to take a while to get an ROI on the cost of forking out for the new kit. Then again sometimes you will just purchase based on needs or functionality rather than just cost. The cool factor sometimes comes into play too.
